The Canadian Tamil Youth Development Centre (CanTYD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth In February 1998, 17 Tamil-Canadian university students and graduates came together to empower our youth to become successful, contributing citizens of Canadian society. Hence, the Canadian Tamil Youth Development Centre (CanTYD) was formed. Beginning as a fledgling youth organization of 17 students, CanTYD has since grown to a thriving organization of 8 staff, over 150 volunteers, 500 young participants, outreach in 6 high schools, and has touched the lives of many youth across Toronto.
