The Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society (VAFCS) was established in 1954 under the British Columbia Act as a non profit organization. More information here: http://www.vafcs.org/about-the-vafcs The mandate of the Centre is to meet the needs of Aboriginal People making a transition to the lower mainland urban community.
